The Tao Of Daniel: TRUTH

Can anything true be said of the great Tao?

Well, perhaps we might say that the Tao enjoys questions more than it does answers. And we might say that it seeks the non-resolution of life’s infinite riddles.

To somehow ‘know’ that he or she ‘does not know’ is the place where every aspiring Taoist (which is to say any intelligent being) wants to arrive, be it consciously or unconsciously.

We inherently seek greater awareness, greater complexity, greater intelligence within our conscious experience of the world; to see a tree as both object and being, flesh and bone, question and answer, mystery and truth.

When one feels and comprehends the contradictions in something they feel them in all things; the sky as seen in the ground, the sun and moon combined, the dark night against the individual stars.

Can you handle the spontaneity of your partner or child as well as their ordinary routines?

Can you shout, laugh or cry when the time is right?

And find peace and contentment in silence also?

It has been said that ‘if it happens then it’s natural’ - this is a bitter pill to swallow, and difficult to comprehend, especially when one is reminded of so called ‘trajic’ events past and present.

And yet the world has a way of balancing things out, it seems. It might not always be the sweet, romantic version of life we hoped to discover, but everything ACTUALLY has always been moving according to plan.

This is the truth according to the Tao. And so this is the Tao.
